Abstract:
The article concerns the necessity to overestimate the library management system under conditions of the information society, global automation of library processes and transition to digital libraries, and consequently it emphasizes the importance of creating a new structural unit dealing with information-analytical activity.
It describes the requirements for an automated information-analytical system of library management as a part of the system to support management decisions making. The model of a new subdivision of the library, which can be used in scientific libraries of various levels and departments, is presented.
