Abstract
The changes in the state and social and economic sphere influencing the essence of library as social institute – mutual relations between libraries and society are considered. Main innovative approaches to quality manage-ment of information services, corresponding to modern tasks and functions of library activities are characte¬rized. Application of the approaches described in practice will allow managing the quality of library services more effectively.
