Zomonova E.M. The strategy of transition to green economy: experience and measuring methods
The review discusses formation of the green growth concept, acquiring an increasing number of supporters in various countries around the world. Practical experience in development and implementation of strategies for a green economy as a new economic model, extending from narrow market mechanisms and non-comprehensive strategies, which are able to combat the growing challenges of modernity, such as food shortages, limited natural resources, the challenges of climate change, are given . Special attention is given to measurement issues of ecologically oriented economic development and definition of methodological approaches to developing indicators and tools for modeling green economy. An assessment of the ecological footprint for the case of the Republic of Buryatia is presented.
