Libraries of parish schools in Kostroma province in the late XIX^-th – early XX^-th century

Abstract

Article is devoted to the history of the origin and development of libraries in parish schools of Kostroma pro­vince in the late XIX – early XX сentury about which there were no publications in professional publications earlier. The author analyzes the qualitative and quantitative structure of library funds, reveals necessity and influence of libraries on pupils and adult population in the province.
