Statistics of searching behaviour of database users of scientific information
Abstract
Statistical
data, reflecting the character of use of information resources and functions of
information systems
in search of scientific information in retrospective bibliographic databases are
given. The analysis shows that professional users of specialized information
resources are characterized by a typical tendency to logical goalseeking
formulation of query and processing of search data.
